| Stands |

|
We offer 2 sizes of dulcimer stands. The Tall Stand holds the front edge of the dulcimer 37” off the floor. This is a good height for playing while standing up. The Short Stand holds the front edge of the dulcimer 25” above the floor, a good height for playing while sitting down.
These stands are build of hardwood, sometimes poplar, sometimes soft maple. They are amazingly sturdy and lightweight and hold virtually an size of dulcimer. They are very portable, weighing about 5 pounds and folding up to just 3” x 2” x 46” for the tall or 3” x 2” x 34” for the short stand.

| Playing Hammers |
|
Preferences in playing hammers are very personal. Each
hammer style has a slightly different weight, balance and
grip. Some players prefer a specific hammer set for a particular
tune. (Some cooks have a baking dish that they use for one
specific recipe.) The motto of one hammer maker is "No
Such Thing as Too Many Hammers".

An electronic tuner's conderser mic often picks up sympathetic vibrations from other strings, making tuning difficult. Just clip this on to any tuning pin and plug into your electronic tuner. |
